The Integration between Powersim and SEM BPS is a very interesting one.
Not many clients use it. But those who do, find the body of information hard to come by. Here is a little primer that maybe
used for help in configuring the integration.
There are five broad steps for the configuration and to get the
integration going:
1. Variable Selection in PowerSim
2. Creation of the Planning Hierarchy (Area/Level/Package)
within SEM BPS
3. Dataset creation within PowerSim.
4. Dataset and Simulation linkage with Co-Models in PowerSim
5.
Auto connection of individuals variables in PowerSim
The integration point between PowerSim and SEM is the linkage
between Key Figures and datasets. The Dataset helps bring the Key Figures to the related model variables within PowerSim for
the Co-model.
In the "Import Auxiliary Symbol Properties" screen, you need to go to the Advanced tab and set the
direction of the data flow.
This is a brief post on how to bring about the integration of PowerSim and SEM. I will
